I saw these particular velvet pumpkins from Timewashed featured by Completely Coastal I was smitten with the color described as sea mist shown in the center. I don't buy many decorations since I prefer to use simple glass vases and lidded jars that can easily be changed for the season but, I have been wanting velvet pumpkins for some time, and so glad I waited to find these.
The sea mist color was sold out except for the petite one and, I snatched it up along with two white ones in larger sizes. Becky of Timewashed was very detailed about how I wanted my pumpkins to look. I went with fiber strands instead of shells.
When I opened the box this is what I saw. Such sweet personal touches. How much better could it get?
Well it did. Each pumpkin was lovingly wrapped.
I love them in all their, beachy, rustic, blingy glory.
Becky also offers her pumpkins in other fabrics. Head on over to her pumpkin patch. to get yours.

Santa's seaside row. Christmas by the Sea.
Every Christmas morning Santa puts his sleigh aside and heads to the bay
I mean really, how else do you think Santa stays in shape during the summer.
Santa Ethan has been doing this for sometime. I have only seen it once
but, at the time did not know who it was. I also thought my eyes were
playing tricks and, when I realized it wasn't thought it was the sweetest thing.
Santa's seaside row usually takes place before I am awake on
Christmas; unlike households that have small children up at the crack of dawn.
These photos were taken by our mutual friend Daria that withstands
the damp and cold yearly to capture this most heartfelt moment.
Santa Ethan, a rowing champion
definitely brings a unique touch to the saying
"seaside holiday".
Should you look out onto the bay some Christmas morning
and, see Santa rowing on by you can finally say
so, this is what Christmas by sea is like.

Time for dessert holiday collection stamped silverware fashions
My new stamped silverware editions are fun and unique. First up eat, drink and get stuffed serving spoon for Thanksgiving also available in a shorter to the point version; get stuffed.
This set can be used for both holiday or any Sunday dinner.
A set of eight forks with a cake server.
Each fork says something different.
Divine, Delicious, Luscious, Sinful, Tasty,
Sweet, So good, and To Die for.
The server says "time for dessert."
For a bit of a different take. This set has six forks
and a server that says "have some cake".
The forks are stamped with sayings I know I have
said time and time again.
"A small piece"
"A little slice"
"Just a taste"
I was laughing the entire time making them all.
Instead of being flattened for the garden
these pretty spoons are now offered for you table.
Fun to use year round actually.
This set was inspired by my little chaplet
A little morning support!
For the hostess.
The ice cream lovers.
The soon to be bride.
For the gardener.
For the tree.

Seawashed coastal christmas pine tree note cards
Pine tree note cards by Kerrie Sanderson of Sea Washed add a subtle holiday touch to your gifts or that quick note to a loved one.
Kerrie offers these with a sea star on top of the tree and without. I opted for no sea star.

Kerrie included two gift tags for me and some tea!
I'm often asked to include a card and knew these would perfect to use for my clients.
A winter looking scene without too much of the "holiday"
Soft and subtle details.
Perfect!

Beach Decor Coastal Christmas Ornaments White Clay Seaside Decor and Wedding Favors
Coastal Christmas in beachy white clay.
I'm still loving working with clay. I have so many planned and a number of styles already made. Now I hope they will sell really well or I will likely end up with enough to outfit our outdoor pine tree.
After holiday don't put these away.
String a bunch together and hang on a curtain rod.
available at my shop Beach House Living on Etsy

First up a scallop shell with a starfish.
The seahorse version.
What makes them different is there shape.
Most shells aren't completely flat, neither are these.
Slightly convex.
It takes some time to shape the clay and wait to shape it slightly again.
I feel like a mother bird with her babies. Checking them again and again.
The starfish is a bit more tricky due the "fingers".
Convex as if it were pulling open a shell on the ocean floor.
A simple starfish that you can write a name on.
Add a paper tag and turn it into a beach wedding favor escort card combo all in one.
A flat scallop shell works as a favor too.
Available without the scoring marks.
Can't you just picture them in a box filled with sand lined up
for a wedding?

White Clay Tags, Ornaments and Wedding Favors: Beachy | Shabby | French | Rustic
White clay ornaments and gift tags are my new passion. I've stamped on just about everything else; silverware, paper, fabric, wood, canvas, linens to leather and then some...
Of course, the torn page starfish and seahorses are the favorites.
I have at least 30 different styles of tags / ornaments in the works..
and my DB dearly beloved is once again supportive.
Compasses for your holiday tree?
Some will be stamped with ink like I used to do more often in the past on paper and fabric.
(don't be surprised if you see that revived)
I think DB was a little worried when I asked where that big huge roll of canvas was as well as the old barn wood we have hanging around while sorting paint brushes, tubes of acrylic paint and rubber stamps.
(yes, Dore the barn wood is still here)
I can't imagine where my old painting palette went.
New ones just don't look as cool.
I adored Play-Doh(tm) as a child.
I have been wanting to work with "metal clay" for some time.
A kiln is not in the budget.
Pottery class isn't in the near future either.
I did have a "pottery clay" date with a friend last week.
I had mentioned my tags to her and she invited
me over to play. It was so much fun. I can't
wait to see how they look after she takes them
to be fired in the kiln.
This is not kiln fired clay.
I like it a real lot though.
This starfish would make a nice wedding favor.
It's pretty big. You can write on it with a felt tip marker.
So would these hearts.
I like a more organic, shabby, rustic, imperfect look so my tags vary
in thickness, texture and aren't always perfectly flat.
I will make some more uniform in the future.
These are shaped to hang on the curve of a bottle.
I named these "torn page" tags like a torn love letter or
page ripped from a book. So far they have received a lot
of comments how unique they are.
